(mild language, sensitives beware)
We’re trying to accomplish something as a species, right? I want to help. Let’s get this shit done. Let’s own this thing. What other contemporary colloquialism could I spout? Git ‘er dun?
Do you feel a general sense of direction in the human species? I do. I like being efficient. I like taking the approach of planning and preparing until a campaign is so masterfully waged that it achieves total effectiveness and accounts for every possible consideration. I like understanding. I want to initiate a choice. Let’s choose who we wish to be. Shouldn’t we? Do we believe that is currently a common practice for our species?
Thus have we entered phase one. Assessment. Observation. Understanding through questioning. A norse classic. Once we understand where we currently are, or who we currently we are in this case, then we’ll choose our desired state.
Once we have those two points we enter phase two; planing and execution. Here, we need simply draw the shortest agreeable path of least resistance between who we are and who we wish to become. The line will be studied and measured until we finally exert a masterful move. The studying part will also include clarifying what we consider to be masterful and agreeable.
Then we celebrate. I’ll be eating cake and cookies.
It occurs to me that to focus on a different state, you have to stop acknowledging the current reality. Ever notice the blowhards who are not as good as they believe they are. There may be a difference between dismissing accountability and a desire to be excellent, but I propose that maybe telling them apart isn’t as straightforward as one would think. Someone who isn’t as good as he/she thinks may simply be pushing the envelope. Trying to enter a new reality. Perhaps it is less refusing reality as it is refusing a current status quo.
I want access to the collective consciousness to propose a minor course adjustments in the overall progress of humanity.
We should learn to value diversity.
We should learn to have faith in the human race.
We should learn to expand what we allow ourselves to believe is possible.
We should have more forethought.
We should try to understand rather than assume.
We should learn to consciously choose who we want to be an the impact we wish to have on the world.
We should learn to be clear and open with our intents, with ourselves and with others.
(I’m just trying this approach on for size)
Magic is about change.
– Fire is the Will, the thought. Perceiving what is not yet.
– Air is the uttered word. The projection of Will.
– Water is the facial and body language. Your position, the projection of your state.
– Earth is your physical impact on the world, the energy you expend to achieve a final result.
Be mindful of what you utter, how you carry yourself, and especially why you do so.
No one is completely wrong all the time.
Pay attention. Have the vision to see the rewards and options life gives you. Might not have been what you asked for, but it’s there to follow if you so choose. If you are unsatisfied with what is offered, learn to choose your preferences. Just make sure they are deserved, or you will again find your expectations unsatisfied.
A good way to grow is to be challenged. A good challenge is to purposely limit yourself in some way. Using a rusty old bicycle one time, not upgrading an old computer the next. It is a known element that you can use to force conscious adaptation and persistence. You need to still be capable of achieving your objective, but don’t shy from adversity. Pay up front to karma, don’t go on credit.
Life is becoming increasingly easy. Don’t let our motivation loose momentum.
Stay thirsty indeed.
What should the human species aspire to become?
I desperately want an alternative to the ubiquitous violent type of crisis resolution. One so obviously superior that it would replace the old ways that were deemed necessary evils.
